What to Bring on a Guided Fishing Trip for Redfish and Speckled Trout in Venice Louisiana

The following is a list of our recommendations for items you should bring on one of our Guided Fishing Trips in Venice, Louisiana.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE TO GET YOUR OWN LICENSE. You can purchase your license online or at a local retailer. PHONE SALES OF THE LICENSE ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. The website is wlf.louisiana.gov. The license you need to get is the SALTWATER CHARTER PASSENGER LICENSE (3 DAY)
. It costs $ 20.00 + handling fees ($5.00) You will have to provide your name, address and other info. Print your license to have it with you on the boat. The license is MANDATORY. To make things easier on you: we recommend you getting your license IN ADVANCE.

Rain gear and/or sun protection: a hat and waterproof sunblock, sunglasses. We highly recommend sun gloves (we have sun gloves for sale) to protect the back of your hands as well as to avoid blisters from fighting the Bull Redfish.
Ice will be provided for your food and drinks and for keeping your trophies cold.
Because of limited storage space, please limit personal effects to 1 waterproof small bag.
Don't forget your camera.
You will need to come with an ice chest to bring your catch home. We provide you with ice.
Your fish will be cleaned and bagged in Ziploc bag, then kept on ice.
If you prefer to vacuum seal your fish, please bring your own vacuum seal bags, 8x12 size are recommended. We have a vacuum sealer that you can use and bag your fish the way you like. We can freeze it here. PLEASE, do not bring rolls. Our machine DOES NOT CUT AND SEAL. Thank you.

Go to : www.wlf.louisiana.gov to purchase your license online in advance or go to a local retailer like the Conoco gas station near the lodge. We recommend you get your license before the day you start fishing.

IT WILL HAVE YOUR LDWF LICENSE NUMBER , YOUR INFO, THE TYPE OF LICENSE YOU BOUGHT (charter pass 3 day) AND THE DATES YOU ARE FISHING.
