My name is Captain Shawn Lanier and I appreciate you visiting the Fish-On Guide Service website. Because of their location at the mouth of the river, the Venice Louisiana fishing grounds attract so many fish that it makes me look like a phenomenal fishing pro. The truth is, after fishing the area since 1991, and being a USCG licensed fishing guide since 2003, I've learned the marsh and the river system surrounding Venice LA.  I know the fish patterns and I check the weather conditions, so I can put you on the fish. I really enjoy taking folks out to catch the Red Fish,also called red fishing or redfishing and Speckled Trout (Specks). If you are a beginner-no problem, I will teach you how to get the fish hooked and netted. If you have experience, great, you can probably show me a thing or two that you may have learned fishing somewhere else in the world.

Don't worry, Captain Shawn will never get mad at anyone because they missed a fish. The fishing trip is about you relaxing and enjoying yourself, it's not about me.
